National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has backed President William Ruto for a second term, arguing that the administration should be given more time to complete development projects.

KBC reported on 17 October that Wetang’ula made the appeal in Kitale during Ruto’s visit to Trans Nzoia.

The Speaker pointed to ongoing government programmes as his reason for supporting continuity in 2027. His intervention adds to the public campaigning already taking place around the next presidential election.

The argument is a political endorsement. It does not independently establish the completion, cost or performance of the projects referred to, and it does not predetermine how voters will judge the government.

The distinction matters as public investment becomes a central campaign theme: claims about future delivery can be assessed against project records, while the choice of administration belongs to the electorate.
