Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has urged Kiambu residents to assess the government against its election commitments as he makes the case for President William Ruto’s re-election.

During a tour of the county on 14 October, Kindiki pointed to roads, markets, housing and education projects as evidence that the administration was pursuing its manifesto.

He said modern markets would improve conditions for small traders and defended agricultural support intended to reduce farmers’ costs. These were the Deputy President’s arguments about the government’s performance.

The tour included road works, a technical training institute and the Kangangi Fresh Produce Market. Projects under construction remain distinct from completed facilities delivering services.

Kindiki’s appeal places implementation at the centre of the government’s campaign message in Mt Kenya. Assessing that record requires comparing promises with completed work, costs and the experience of residents.
